With Cornell University Cooperative Extension and Con Edison, PAL students grow their own fresh veggies in our rooftop garden at the Harlem Center using sustainable hydroponic techniques.
Participants make fresh food with their home-grown veggies and bring their fresh produce home. Students learn about sustainability and healthy nutrition, how to market and sell their fresh produce as a business exercise. Over 100 kids per year learn in our hydroponic classroom!
