PAL's premiere annual gala is an elegant evening of dining, dancing and entertainment, attended by corporate leaders, dignitaries and other VIP's. The event honors men and women who have distinguished themselves in their careers and are excellent role models for the children PAL serves. Past honorees include Keith T. Banks, Michael R. Bloomberg, John A. Catsimatidis, Kenneth I. Chenault, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo,  Rudolph Giuliani, Peter G. Peterson, Donald J. Trump, Mortimer B. Zuckerman and many, many others.

On Sunday, November 8th, in Riverside Park in Manhattan, PAL will participate in a 5K Run/Walk with other local non-profits.  Each runner/walker who participates will solicit sponsors, typically friends and family, who will make donations to PAL on the runner’s behalf. The runner/walker commits to raising a minimum of $200 in donations. Those donations go directly to PAL to support our programs.  At the event, runners/walkers will be treated to a DJ, professional pre-race warm-up and stretch, professional announcer, and one of a kind race gear.

You play a crucial role in making this event a success.  I hope you will consider joining me for the 5K and securing at least $200 in donations from your circle of friends and family.  I also ask that you spread the word to anyone who might be interested in participating, or making a contribution to PAL through sponsoring a runner/walker.  Finally, please publicize the event by handing out flyers (one is attached) at the Centers and to our families who may wish to participate or sponsor a runner. 

The 5K event is organized by a group called The Generosity Series (see http://www.generosityseries.com/) We are hoping to get at least 250 runners/walkers for this event, so we really have to spread the word. The more participants we have, the more fun the event will be, and the more fundraising we can do for the kids.  

The Luncheon recognizes the Real Estate industry’s most dynamic and successful men and women, who are inspirations and excellent role models for our guests and our boys and girls. Past honorees include Matt Van Buren, L.
